What you get

• PoopDeck Standard, free for life — every Standard feature, up to three vessels, for as long as PoopDeck offers a Standard plan. No subscription, no renewal, no card.
• The Founding Captain badge on your account.

How to qualify

1. Be one of the first 100. Founding Captain is open to the first 100 PoopDeck accounts created during the beta, counted by the time the account was created in the app. PoopDeck team and test accounts don’t count toward the 100.
2. Use it on your own boat. Log at least 3 voyages or maintenance entries on a vessel you added yourself. The sample boat, Nepenthe, doesn’t count.
3. Tell us what you find. Send at least 2 feedback reports. At least one must be specific: a bug with what you did and what happened, or an idea with how it would help on your boat. A screenshot helps.

Where feedback counts from

• TestFlight → PoopDeck → Send Beta Feedback, or take a screenshot in the app and tap Share Beta Feedback
• In PoopDeck: Settings → Send feedback
• Email to support@poopdeck.net from the address on your PoopDeck account

If your TestFlight email is different from your PoopDeck account email, tell us both so we can match your reports to your account.

When

The program is open to testers who qualify before PoopDeck is released on the App Store. We’ll announce the release date at least 14 days ahead so there’s time to finish.

How it’s granted

When PoopDeck launches on the App Store, we review the beta accounts. If you qualify, we email you and turn on Founding Captain on your account. You don’t need to apply.

Our review of whether feedback is constructive is final. We’re looking for honest, specific reports — they don’t have to be positive.

The fine print

• One account, one person. Founding Captain belongs to the PoopDeck account that qualified. It can’t be transferred, sold or merged into another account.
• Standard only. It covers the Standard plan. Any future higher plan (for example, for fleets or charters) is not included.
• “For life” means for as long as PoopDeck offers a Standard plan or its successor at the same level. If Standard is renamed or restructured, Founding Captains keep an equivalent plan at no charge.
• If you already subscribe through the App Store when Founding Captain is granted, cancel your Apple subscription in your iPhone’s Settings — we can’t cancel or refund Apple subscriptions for you. Your account keeps full access either way.
• Deleting your account ends it. Founding Captain can’t be restored to a new account. The usual data rules in our Privacy Policy apply.
• Fair use. Accounts that break the Terms of Service, or that were made to game the program (for example, many accounts for one person), don’t qualify, and Founding Captain can be removed from an account that breaks the Terms.
• No cash value. It can’t be exchanged for money or credit.
• Your feedback. We use what you send to improve PoopDeck. We won’t publish your name or your words without asking you first.
• Changes. We may close the program to new testers at any time. That never takes Founding Captain away from someone who has already been granted it.
